Four of the wines on this page are from the superb vineyards of Jean-Michel Moueix, wonderful wines at very reasonable prices. Because of the high proportion of Merlot, his Pomerol wines are already delicious.

Château Trottevieille 1995 ler Grand Cru Classé, St. Emilion 1996 The Trottevieille has such richness that you could revel in the 1995 now - and for the next ten years and more. The 1996 is now available but should be left until 2003. A best value wine irrespective of price.

Château La Tour du Pin Figeac 1996 Grand Cru Classé, St. Emilion Jean-Michel's flagship merlot wine, ripe Sauvignon and plummy Merlot brought together in new oak cases. Drink it now or for up to another ten years. Always outstanding value.
